Design by Diana Walton- Houston First Time Home Buyer Specialist
Hello and welcome to Houston First Time Home Buyers Edition, formally First Home Houston (FHH). Buying a home involves lots of moving parts, especially if you are a first time home buyer. (congrats on taking that step) Knowing what to do, before, during and after will help you eliminate or keep stress at bay. Here are just a few things you should not do while you are in the process of purchasing your first home:
You cannot buy anything on credit.
You cannot have your credit pull.
You cannot obtain any new credit.
You cannot have any over drafts.
Do not make any large deposit without first speaking with the lender.
Do not co-sign anything for anyone.
Do no make any late payments.
Do not move large amount of money between accounts.
Do not become self-employed.
Do not change jobs unless absolutely necessary. New job must be in the same field.
Do not acquire any new debts.
Do not purchase any large items such as a car.
Do not close existing credit accounts.
Do not miss any monthly payments.
Just doing any one of the above could derail your home purchase. As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Remember, if you are thinking of purchasing your first home, please contact us.
