Although there are lots of information available on damage done to the inside of the home, we just wanted to offer a few steps you can take to prevent water damage on the outside of your home.

1. Try installing downspouts and wide gutters
2. Although typically done when buying or selling a home, it is always a good idea to hire a license home inspector to complete an overall evaluation of your home.
3. Prevent leaves build up by cleaning your gutters and downspouts
4. Hire a licensed plumber to check foundation drain
5. Try using a rain barrel to catch water runoff.
6. Keep storm drain clear.
