• Confirm identities through multiple channels.

• Pause before sending money or sharing personal information.

• Be suspicious of urgency and unexpected communications.

You should also lookout for deepfake videos. Warning signs will include unnatural facial movements, lip-sync problems, robotic speech and awkward pauses. As a first time home buyer, you will need to be extra vigilant during your home buying process. You may also want to share less on social media during your home buying process because that is the breathing ground, where scammers go to get needed information about you.
