First Time Home Buyers Required Mortgage Documents

A very good morning to you. Buying a home involves a variety of parts, people, documents and tasks, that are needed in order to make your purchase go smoothly. Here are some of the paperwork that you may be required provide to your lender/underwriter.

  • Tax Returns ( 2 years)

  • W2s

  • Recent pay-stubs

  • Other proof of income

  • Employer contact information

  • Earnest money source

  • Proof of child support payments

  • Bank statements

  • Investment Account

  • Retirement Account (401, etc)

  • Records of additional assets

  • Current copy of your driver’s license

  • Employment letters

  • LOE (letter of explanation if necessary)

  • Divorce Decree (if necessary)

  • Copy of your social security

SELF EMPLOYMENT

  1. Sign CPA statement

  2. Year to date profit and loss statement

  3. Balance sheet

  4. Two years of business tax returns

  5. Schedules K-1 and 1120S
