On-Time Rent Payment Can Now Be Use When Applying for a Mortgage

Hello again and thank you for visiting. This post is just a quick reminder for all my first time home buyers that do not have a lot of credit, but have been making their rent payments on time. Back in August 2021 the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) did announced that on-time rental payments will be included in its underwriting system which should now make it possible for millions of individuals to become homeowners. That may include you. So I just wanted to remind you.

I first published this information back in 2022 but decided to republished it because a lot of Houston first time home buyers may not be aware or have forgotten that they can use their on time rent payment as part of their credit profile and the mortgage underwriting process. This is truly something to be very happy about.
