 Hello and welcome to Houston First Time Home Buyers Edition, formally First Home Houston (FHH). Although lead is a naturally occurring element found in small amounts in the earth’s crust and have some beneficial uses, lead can be extremely toxic to humans and animals.

The federal government banned consumer uses of lead-based paint in 1978. If your home buying plan include purchasing a home that was build before 1978, here are few things you should know about the effects of lead based paint.
