What Is an Escrow Surplus?
Hello again and welcome. Today we are looking at what is an escrow surplus? Simply put, an escrow surplus is when there is more money in your escrow account than is needed to pay your annual property taxes and home insurance.
If the surplus amount is less than $50, it will remain in the account as a cushion. However, if the amount is over $50, the amount will be refunded to you.
