What Is Hard Water?

According to Britannica, water that contain a high amount of magnesium and calcium is hard water. While hard water is usually not a health or safety concern, it can be a bit annoying.

Signs of hard water at home include but not limited to:

• Dry itchy skin

• Soap scum or film on shower glass

• White deposits on showerheads and faucets

• Spots on dishes and glassware

• Soap scum in tub
