Still, why not take a quick break to enjoy some of Houston’s best water attractions this summer. Weather you choose to dive, slide, splash, take a dip or just chill on a mango floater with a glass of French Bloom's La Cuvée in hand, there is somewhere for you to do it.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown- 48 acres of fun in the sun and is the largest water park in the Houston area with a Texas size lazy river.
Surfside Beach - About an hour's drive south from Houston
El Segundo Swim Club - a 21-and-over oasis featuring a 1,350-square-foot pool, up-cycled cabanas fashioned from industrial containers.
Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston - with more than 30 attractions across 26 acres in Galveston with rapids, white water and a not so lazy river. Bring. It. On.
The Woodlands Resort - For loads of family-friendly fun.
Palm Beach at Moody Gardens - a family friendly summertime Galveston attraction with it's own lazy river, white sand beach and wave pool. Did I mention the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, and Discovery Museum? Oh, yes. I just did:)
Stewart Beach - Another family friendly Galveston summertime destination spot located at Broadway Avenue and Seawall Boulevard. Fun for everyone.
Lagoonfest Texas - Located in Texas City, this man-made lagoon, is the largest in Texas, encompasses 12 acres and 24 million gallons of water.
Huntsville's Blue Lagoon - 90 minutes north of Houston, limestone quarry and crystal-blue spring water. Need I say more? Live like you mean it.
